Donald Willard Holcomb

	Donald Willard Holcomb, 70, of Tilden, passed away at 9:01 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2000 at Sparta Community Hospital.
	Mr. Holcomb was the retired owner and operator of Tilden Television.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He was of the Protestant faith.  He was a lifetime member of Sparta VFW Post #2698, Medinah Shrine of Chicago, Wright Grove Lodge #779 A.F. & A.M. of Chicago and St. Elm Commandery of Chicago.
	He was born Saturday, March 15, 1930 at Sparta, the don of Lester J. and Laura Heatherington Holcomb.  He married Margaret M. Chandler on June 5, 1964 at Tilden.
	He is survived by his wife, Margaret M. Holcomb of tilden; one son and daughter-in-law, A.J. and Kelly Holcomb of Ashley; two grandchildren, Bryon Holcomb and Rebecca Holcomb; his mother, Laura Holcomb of Sparta and a brother, Lester (Woody)Holcomb of Carbondale.  He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Elmer and Robert and one sister, Sylvia.
	Funeral services were held Friday, October 6 at 11 a.m. at Wilsons Funeral Home in Tilden with Rev. Wilbur M. Franklin Sr. officiating.  Interment was in Tilden City Cemetery.
	Visitation was at Wilsons Funeral Home, Tilden, where friends called after 6 p.m. Thursday and on Friday from 7:30 a.m. until the hour of service.
	Masonic Services were held October 5 at 7 p.m. at the funeral home and will be conducted by Hope Lodge #162, A.F. & A.M.  Military graveside services were conducted by V.F.W. Post #2698 of Sparta.
	Memorials may be made to Tilden Scholarship Fund/Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
